A Fortieth in Full Colour

Forty is worth doing properly. This one filled a Sydney function room with green and gold from the first arrival to the last dance — family in matching aso-ebi, a buffet that did not stop, and a room that spent more time on its feet than in its seats.

The brief was to cover the day the way it actually felt: less posing, more noticing. Most of these frames were made from the edge of the room.
